Chinese painting comes naturally to me because it shares the same root as calligraphy, which I was taught beginning in first grade. Furthermore, , my familial lineage, steeped in generations of scholarly pursuits, has naturally drawn me to Chinese humanities. Despite holding a Master's degree. My knowledge of Chinese traditional aesthetic philosophies resulted in my becoming the executive manager and judge of a famous poetry community in China, with the responsibility of promoting the community in the most advantageous way.
Always closely observing the world around me and painting with my soul, my extensive traveling experience has been a gold mine of creativity. My works include classic (small freehand) brushwork based on calligraphy strokes, impressionistic painting (big freehand) to portray intrinsic spirit, and meticulously detailed painting (GongBi) that more closely mirrors the physical reality. Many of my works have been accepted and awarded by the most prestigious international painting and calligraphy exhibitions in the United States.
I believe that doing a good job requires having a good character, a philosophy I apply not only to the arts but also to my entire life.
